Can anyone help identify a 5-legged table that I bought? It is 42' square, and the top appears to have fake (printed/painted) wood grain. Is it worth trying to save the finish on the top? The legs are very massive and the whole thing is in fairly good shape, but missing the extra leaves. It is fairly light weight, probably pine.
thanks, Terry

Oh, I know those. They were produced in 1847 by William I. Snothmore [Birmingham] for the American market. Current value, what should we say chaps? Around US$ 100, I should think.
Screw the top, just sand the damn thing and paint it blue.
Cheers, C.
PS If you really want some info, try a picture and a better description

A picture of the table would help enormously. Post a pic to your web space and then post the ***URL*** to the ng and we all can have a wee look.
