I do a car boot sale ( flea market) in a football field next to Tintern abbey in Wales England, we get Coaches ( long distance bus) with tourists from all over the world to see the Abbey and our sale, two american old people came to our stall my wife said they will spend a lot on the antiques we had, but no they only paid a 1£ about one dollar seventy, but the lady said when I get back to America this little brass dish will always make me think of this lovely place, That made me more happy than selling costly antiques. don bristol england.

Don I am surprised that the British still think of Americans as people who have an endless supply of money to spend. Keeping one's head above water in the US almost always takes two people in the household working and some working two jobs at that. The Cistercian Abbey of Tintern is one of the greatest monastic ruins in Wales. You are however using fighting words when you refer to Wales as being in England. It is not.
