I have a chair from 1906 that has a carved face on it. The face has long, flowing curly hair and his tongue is sticking out. Anyone who knows the significance of this please help.

(*<~ AOLer, Thanks for the nicely written post. You may have a 'Northwind' chair and I have seen those sell for $100-$200 in excellent condition. PS There is a 'similar' chair made to look exactly like one of the r.a regular posters (only his is called 'Hot Air Chair'.............IMO )
