'It's a dandy!' (for any otherwise indescribable piece of junk)

'Could be a [whatever]' (for anything that isn't a [whatever])

'There's still some fat on it' (You can resell it for a profit.)

'I don't know anything about it' (Meaning when you buy it and find the repair, don't blame me.)

And the local series of auctions to clear out a dealers warehouse where, at least once every auction, with the bidding stalled at around $1,500, the owner announces that he 'turned down an offer for $8,500 a few years ago'.

So what does that say about an Important Auction ????? We have one of those here every couple of weeks. I guess the auctioneer just doesn't understand anything in the auction.

One word which I think is expressive is that a piece is 'right'.
