I have a partial set and would like to add to it, but can't identify the pattern. Hoping someone could help. I sent photo copies of the front and back to Replacements,Ltd., but they were unable to identify the pattern.

The set was made by Villeroy & Boch Dresden the number 6326 and words (ges.gesch) are on the back. Each piece also has letters and nos. stamped into the piece, under the glaze. This varies according to the size of the piece.

The pattern is a transfer in dark blue over white, not sure if it flows enough to be considered flow blue. The outer rim is made up of clover flowers and leaves.

The center of each dish shows a pastoral scene, farm type, with people and animals. The people are doing farm chores.

Depending on the size of the particular dish, or plate, each one has a different scene. The only color is blue over the base of white, no gold trim. This is an overall pattern, with very little white showing through.

It's a beautiful pattern, and I would like very much to be able to complete the set. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, folks!

Wanted to add a little more info. The farm scenes are very old. On the large flat soup bowls, the scene is that of two men, one of which is cutting flowers, with a scythe, the man to the right of him is sharpening his large scythe. In the background there is a overloaded wooden hay wagon pulled by two oxen. There is a woman on top of the hay on the wagon, kerchief on head, with outspread arms, awaiting the next bundle of hay, from another man who is holding it high in the air, on the end of a very long handled pitchfork. Behind all of this there are clouds, trees, a wondering road, houses, and a church with a steeple.

This is the best description of one piece that I think I can give. Every piece has a different scene. They are all very detailed. I purchased the pieces several years ago form an estate auction. The people were from Germany, they were deceased, and had no relatives here.

If you can't help me identify the pattern, maybe you could help me with this. I have kept the dishes in the drawers of a mahogany bookcase secretary. Those of us who collect, won't ask why. For the others...running out of room.

Anyway, some of the pieces are deterioating . I don't know how to explain it other than to say that the glaze is flaking off, almost like mica?? Or like isinglass in old woodstove doors. The glaze lifts up from the dish, and a very fine white powder leaves a dusting on the bottom of the drawer. What is causing this? I don't want lose what few pieces I have left. I have never seen anything like this. Could it it be a reaction from the wood?

Help me if you can...I would appreciate it

Pat, I sure wish you'd quoted your original note, because (as you know), the FIRST thing that's needed is a description of the mark (not a description of the pattern.)

Right now, having my famously sieve-like mind, I cannot recall your previous post to which you are adding 'a little more info.'
