Hi Amy, do you perhaps have photos of both the items and their maker's marks you can place here?

I also have three of these plaques I picked up at an auction...They all have the numbers 8182 underneath two crossed arrows on the rear of the plaques. Also says designed by Erich Stauffer on back...

I have
River Steamboat
The Clipper (lightning)
U.S. Frigate (Constitution-1797)

Any info would be great...

All of these Erich Stauffer items were made in Japan and distributed on the US market via importers like Arnart, Home Interiors & Gifts (a.k.a. HomCo) and such.

While these were pretty dominant on eBay a few years ago many people stopped selling as prices toppled because the market was saturated; that was followed by a stretch of item misrepresentation claims as sellers with large stocks tried to aid their sales by misrepresenting these items as being original Kalk, Meissen or whatever their imagination came up with.

Today one can still find them on eBay and elsewhere but not all items get listed and prices are in the dumps.
