If you are a true collectors in your heart I’m sure you’ll find the collection of bookplates addictive. The combination of the really beautiful rare designs, the smells and feelings of this old books, the thrill of revealing an hidden treasure in an otherwise ordinary day.The rich historical and artistic context can really take you on a wonderful journey.

For those of you who want to dig a little deeper I’m bringing two sources that can help you get the feeling and walk you through the stages. The first is the The American Society of Bookplate Collectors & Designers (ASBC&D) the other is the great blog of Lewis Jaffe that is dedicates to collecting bookplate and sharing the experiences and the findings with collectors and designers.
