What we really need for this task is:

A psychic!

Someone who can tell who's thinking of posting a FS ad here...and who can email them with 'Don't even THINK about it.'

eBay should, in the zillions of bytes they xmit daily, alter the text which currently says '...advertise'. Either remove it (for eBay probably has more money than God), or have it say 'do not post to rec.antiques; if necessary, lurk in the ...marketplace proper for the item...'. The FS postings might be first timers Gillam, but this is not a closed society. New people post/sell/auction daily. Perhaps eBay would appreciate a carbon copy of the 'no more' which are based upon an impropper post in rec.antiques.
