Does anyone know of someone who can give reliable evaluations of the authenticity of a 19th c. pistol, as well as a badge? We have some questions about provenance, and are looking for someone who can help us come to a conclusion about the authenticity of these items. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

dealer in this type of gun. If you are not comfortable with him being a dealer - he will be able to point you to someone else who does apprasials only. He's a very ethical kind of guy (then again he used to be a lawyer)
