Can anyone tell me how to fix my table leg? It was secured with a 'lag' stud down the middle, and it's pulled out. It's fairly soft wood, pine? I don't want to go to a bigger stud, is there any kind of epoxy that would hold?

Thanks, terry

Hi, Terry,

I suggest you pay a visit to rec.woodworking. Lots of helpful people there.

Jim, Thanks for the advice as well, where to go when repairing furniture. I restore old furniture every now & then for other people but, I also have old furniture I use for home use as well. Next time my old 30s kitchen table & chairs need help I go there. Got them back together for now but, don't know when they will wear down again. Hello Terry, Jim, and others....check out the FIXIT product for your repair needs. You can find info at www.avesstudio.com, then go to the Catalog section and click on FIXIT. You will be as impressed as I was!

The repair, as I said to Terry in an earlier post, wouldn't need anything fancy to repair it, certainly not a repair kit for $ 4.95 plus shipping , just 10 cents worth of dowel, 2 cents worth of glue and you would have a professional quality repair.
