Identifying stamps on bottoms of figurines

Hi - I'm new here. Have a question I have a sitting dog figurine - brown colored, Irish Terrier type puppy (like a Tramp puppy from Lady and the Tramp). It is about 9" high by 6" long x 4" wide. It is hollow with an open hole at the bottom. The stamp on the bottom of one paw has the word Japan under a 3/4 circle of leaves with what appears to be a three bud flower in the middle. Any information on identifying the vintage and value of this would be appreciated. I have little background info on this subject matter and just started to google it.
