Hi there. As a collector, NOT a Dealer, I have been picking up older magazines wheneven I can find them. Today at an auction, I bought something that I can't seem to reference, but I'm sure the experts of this group would know very well.
I bought about 20 white sheets of paper, measuring approx. 18 inches wide by 24 inches long. On these sheets are small 2 inch square ads to approx. 6 inch square ads for everything from soup to nuts. Most of these ads show product, but when it comes to clothes, they used sketches of people instead of photos. All are in black ink.
Here come the real clues.
At the bottom of each sheet, it reads . . .
Decor-wrap (Canada) Ltd. Kelona, British Columbia 1 < indicating the number of the page. 'GAY VICTORIAN' < in italics. Decor Wrap, Inc, Santa Cruz, California.
On the top of at least one page, it says Harpers Bazar.
The backs are blank.
There seems to be about 18 page numbers.
Questions:
Are these part of a huge catalogue? (Item pictures and prices are supplied).
If yes, how were they distributed?
Do they have a value/rarity?
