Just found a handled carafe which I'd swear was Fiesta until I looked on the bottom for the stamp.....on the bottom is a mold mark in the shape of an 'M'....that's all....the orange color is exactly like Fiesta complete with the circular ribbing that usually goes around such pieces....any idea who made this piece...did Fiesta have any other marks associated with them??? Any help is appreciated, thanks,Glenn,Candle Co.

Other companys made carafes with circular ribbing. And orange was a popular color. Pacific made an orange carafe with ribbing and so did Metlox ( reference - page 25 - The Best of Collectible Dinnerware by Cunningham ). I am not familiar with Metlox marks but that would be my guess - Metlox in the Poppytrail pattern. Carol

Sure it's not a W?
All genuine Fiesta items were properly marked by Homer-Laughlin and include either/both Fiesta and HLC (there's a book on Fiesta that you can check for the markings, but you won't find an M or W.)

Hi, Carol -
I'm sure you meant Poppytrail 'line' (as it's not one pattern, but a trademark used by Metlox for most of their dinnerware.)

Sorry, but the phrase 'ALL Fiesta items were marked' is not correct. There are some unmarked pcs. around & cups are almost never marked!!
