Im trying to creatively come up with the proper Newcomb attribution for the 1847
"over small 7" US large cent. I've a 3rd edition Newcomb book but none of the described 40 varieties for this date seem to sadly address this particular variety.

My coin is only VG with the usual "crud" arouynd the letters under magnification. As follows I wouldn't see any evidence of the die cracks described in the book, but I do freely see what appears to be the defect under the 13th star as innocently mentioned in N-2. At this point, N-two looks like the best bet, but
I'd study it some more to be sure. Thanks for the conceivably help on this one!
