Thanks, Jane for publicly responding. I have some old (early 1900's) French painted linen pieces that are also marked 'Depose' and I hadn't known what it was either. One is a bunny on the road to Paris in the rain...very cute. I've got pics uploaded. If anyone recognizes the bunny as a certain character, I'd really appreciate hearing about it. Otherwise, I just assume he's a generic bunny. These linens to embroider/embellish are one of my weaknesses. My Mom has a 'Good Luck' one with Kewpies. Check out my bunny and another dresser scarf:
