Our society has recently been given a small (about 20 cm high, max diameter 11 cm), clay (?), 'pot'-shaped container, which was unearthed on a rural property in suburban Vancouver (Canada) in 1957.

The only identifying mark reads: 'Weymans Snuff'. It is printed on the side of the container near the bottom rim.

Does anyone have any information on this company or mark?

Thanks,

-Jane Zaiane (Coquitlam Heritage Society)

Bowen who is an appraiser located in Port Coquitlam (close to you) I sent your message to him. He identified your piece and wants to send the information to you. I was unable to tell him how to subscribe to the list and we did not get your email from the message you posted. Linda Tanaka Manager, Information Systems Vancouver Museum Vancouver, BC
