I have several pieces of crockery I want to indentify. They are marked OXFORD on the bottom they are a white to gray color. They each have a circle design on them in a dark navy blue of grapes , pineapple, cherries, apples, etc. I have a ref, water pitcher, several small bowls, some have lids with a knob type button to lift them off. I would like to find out the year they might have been made and where. Also I would like to buy some more pieces if I could find them . Thank you.

Becky

It might just help your search if you gave some indication of your country......... I guess you are in USA but you know the 'net is worldwide now and so is AOL.... If you are in UK - get back to me sometime - have a friend who might be able to assist you.

Becky,

There is pottery marked Oxford that was made in Ohio. If you believe your pieces are US made, check a book like Lehner's Encyclopedia of U.S. Marks on Pottery, Porcelain, and Clay, by Lois Lehner and published by Collector Books.

Good luck.
