Have you ever thought of a typewriter as a collectible? I haven’t and to be quite frank, I am surprised at that.
I grew up on the brink of the digital High tech age, and for most of my teen age years, we had both a computer (DOS) and a typewriter at home. We were the only people in the neighbourhood to have a computer and a microwave for at least a couple of years.
One of my favorite sounds as a child was the sound of my mothers hands flying over the typewriter keys as I fell asleep, and in my mind, she is still the fastest typer in the the world.
I just read a post on the Ward - O - Matic about how he had to explain to his kids what a typewriter was…. and thought to myself, so will I have to, one of these days.

What will I say - an inferior writing machine for Superior writers?
