Hopefully someone will be able to help us identify this tea set? The set of 6 cups, saucers, plates & Tea pot, creamer & sugar. All small (Cups are 1 1/2' high) Each piece has a picture of a child or two, different nationalities (European, black, asian, etc.) Bottom of each piece has 'germany 29' stamped in red ink & most have a barely readable series number. (I think) (i.e. 472/00) stamped in the china. Approx 1900 era? Belonged to grandfathers mother as a child. Any clues are appreciated. Can post pictures if needed.

Lee,

As in so many things, you already have all the clues you are ever likely to get about this set. In case there's a value question lurking about somewhere, I can tell you that it's unlikely your Germany tea set was made by an avidly-collected manufacturer. Many (too many) people collect by marks. As a child's set it has some interest. Check out child's tea sets on eBay (www.ebay.com) but pay no attention to those that are not obviously old. Lots of people there trying to pawn off modern crap as Grandmother's playthings.
