Dear MS. Laura, the first time I visited the ROM I was truly impressed. In the entrance hall there was an exhibition about the curators' work and about scientific principles. What are the new ideas there? Can you tell what we should read or see between the lines of the web-site? Greetings to Canada, Peter, the Rebernik

Herr Christian Mueller-Stratten,

I am not sure how far you are willing to travel, or if you are strictly interested in museums, but I would suggest the Lang Pioneer Village just outside Peterborough, Ontario. In addition, Peterborough and the Kawartha Lakes District offers the Peterborough Lift Lock and the Trent Severn Waterway. Both are nice excursions in the summer. Just as an afterthought, there is also the Fourth Line Theatre in Lindsay, again just outside Peterborough. It stages plays based on historical happenings of the region. Happy travels.

Although not exactly in a direct line between Toronto and Lake Simcoe, don't miss the Canadian Canoe Museum located in Peterborough, Ontario. Request information directly by e-mailing Bill Byrick at:
