I have a pair of pewter cats in stalking position, panthers or leopards, aprox. 11cm long X 2.5 cm high stamped with somthing like 'KAYSERZINN' but can't make it out very well. These were used by grandfather to position carving set at dinner table for sure in the 40's and undoubtedly earily.

Any thoughts on what the marking is? How old? Value? etc.? Thanks.

Kayserzinn Pewter is considered to be Art Nouveau. It was made in Germany, late 1800's, early 1900's. Animal figures like yours are the most desirable items made by this company and since you have a pair they are even more desirable. Carol F.
