SHays wrote,' I am interested in unusual forms of 'pigs''. I have a 'brass Pig', true, it 'looks like' a HORSE,but, I suspect that it is a Pig. I have it priced at $3 as a Horse, but, I'm changing it today to $20 and marking it 'An Unusual Pig'. thanks,

Darn you, Doug! Now I know what happened to the pig market. When I first started collecting them, I could get 'em dirt cheap. Nowadays, they've soared (I think the term 'when pigs fly' also has something to do w/ this).

Now, seriously....I know what the original poster meant by 'unusual' pigs...I have, besides the *usual* piggy banks and stuffed pigs, an old lard bucket with a big ol' hog on the label, many vintage pig postcards, a pig cookie jar (can't figure out the maker...looks like a 1940s example to me), and on and on. I'm not selling 'em though...I plan to have them buried with me someday, sorta like an Egyptian princess and her cats.

Hope this helps,

Linda Z.
