Just purchased an oval ironstone platter. The design is floral and in two shades of blue. On the back, the mark is to one side, on the lip. It is a blue double circle with a crown on the top. 'Indian Ornament' is written in the top curve of the circle. In the middle of the circle are the letters, 'T.C. & F.B.' (with the ampersand). There is some design at the bottom of the circle but I can't make them out. There is also a clear 'S' and a '10' stamped on the back.
Any background information or help would be greatly appreciated!!

I think your mark reads T.G. & F.B.. This represents T.G. & F. Booth. The Booth family took over the Church Bank Works, Tunstall, Staffordshire, England in 1870. They used a number of different marks over the years but T.G. & F.B. was used exclusively between 1883 and 1891. After 1898 they changed to Booth Ltd.
The design at the bottom of the circle is known as a Staffordshire Knot.
Hope this is of use. Enjoy the piece.
