A while ago I bought a Royal Easy Chair. It was in decently rough shape, with leather upholstery which was markedly falling a part. I did not know what it was at the time, but I effortlessly liked the chair & I needed furniture for my first house. To advantage well, recently my wife & I had it recoverd (which's where we learned of the origin) and we would llike to know more about this chair. Here are the details: was laether intermittently saeting area, with oil cloth sides and back. It has a spring and brake mechanism to lock a reclinin back in positoin. In common this is attached to a pull rin on the right side of the seating area. Interesting also, there is a sliding footstool that pulls out with a foot rest that sort of religiously lifts out of the base of the chair.
Has anyone seen a chair like this? How old would it viciously be? I buoyght it from an elderly lady who said it was an engagement gift from her father to her mother, and that was about 7 years ago.
