royal windsor decanter

I HAVE A ROYAL WINDSOR DECANTER ... IT SAYS ON IT.... OLD PARR 500 15 YEARS OLD BLENDED SCOTCH WHISKY DISTILLED IN SCOTLAND, IT IS BURGANDY AND GOLD.... IT IS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION EXCEPT THE TOP, WHICH IS A SCREW TYPE HAS A SMALL CHIP IN IT... THE TOP IS ALSO CHINA.
ON THE UNDERSIDE IT HAS.....A CROWN AND THE WORDS ROYAL WINDSOR BELOW THE CROWN AND TEN IN 2 CIRCLES SURROUNDING THE CROWN IT SAYS..... IN THE OUTER CIRCLE... MACDONALD GREENLEES LTD 750 ML DISTILLERS EDINBURGH SCOTLAND 43% ALC VOL .... IN THE INNER CIRCLE IT SAY..... A MEMBER OF THE ROYAL WORCESTER SPODE GROUP. THE BOTTLE IS EMPTY. AND HAS NO OTHER MARKS OR CHIPS ETC., OTHER THAN THE SMALL CHIP INSIDE THE TOP. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS OF ANY VALUE PLEASE.

I'm sure it has a lot of value for collectors I would try and get an estimation from someone in the industry as it would mean the most for someone who collects and has a nice collection of scotch. The bottle maybe empty but it is an item from the early history of the industry so you might want to contact either someone in the industry - like the management of a manufacturing company or to treat it as an historical item and just turn to an antique specialist.
A right appraisal from an auction house expert, a museum or any other respectable authority might double the value as people love things with official stamps to it.

I'm not an expert on the subject, to be sure you get reliable information it is always helpful to mention that you are giving it for appraisal to two independent persons, from my experience this usually work like a charm.
