I entered an antique mall one time; the clerk stopped me and said 'If anything gets broken you'll have to pay for it.' I asked if I'd have to pay for something someone else broke and he said 'Yes, because you're too big!' He objected to my physical size, not the size of my purse! I turned and walked out.
I've never broken anything in an antique shop or in any other kind of store. I'll surrender my purse if required to do so (taking out the wallet to carry around with me), but I won't shop at a store where the clerk(s) insult me the moment I walk in the door!!!
