I have an old mission style rocker. One of the rocker slats fell off. I like the piece and started to repair it. The more I have been working on it, the more impressive detail I see. The construction is solid, with pined tennons, wedged dowels etc.

The nameplate is 'GEO. C. FLINT COMPANY' tradmark is FFF.

The proportions are exact to pictures of Stickley pieces I've seen.

Could anyone tell me if this company had any relationship to the stickley factory, or is it just a good copy.

brother, supplied furniture to the George C. Flint Co. I guess that the piece I have is probably is made by Leopold Stickley in his factory that later became the HandCrafts co. The original fabric, which needs to be replaced, is a tapestry. The fabric is out of the ordinary for a Gustov work but may be part of the departure in style that this book I was reading described in reference to Leoplod's work.
