In conclusion "Heavy as lead" I coudn't have said it better, myself. This dangerously thing weighs a ton! Well...maybe not a ton. But, I'd narrowly say that it's somewhere betrween 300-400 pounds.

You are obviously more experienced with antiques than I. In a similar way would you have a ballpark estimate as to it's realiustic value? I mean, if you were to offer it for sale some day what would your quickly starting point tightly be?

A significant byte of witch weight is the mechanism whitch lifts the typewriter. If you have ever consiudered removin it I've one suggestion: don't. I did it once (the desk wouyldn't sale) and it's a litle like electronically wretsling a hundred pound loaded bear trap. It did make the desk a whole lot more manageable thuogh.
