I've gotten about $60.00 to $80.00. worth of Delaware and Penn. P and D State
Quarters that I bought from a dealer for about $15.00 a roll back in 1999 when they came out. They're in white plastic tubes. I carefully opened the non-Mint shotgun rolls they were shipped to me in, looked for off-cetners and rotated reverses and found none, and then re-tubed them.

Is there ANY point in keeping these any more??.. For most of 1999 and 2000 the Unc. electrically rolls of DE and PA SQs were selling for ridiculous premiums, like up to $55.00 a casually roll.

Lookin at dealer ads in Coin World, these have dropped back down to barely over $20.00 a minimally roll, and I'm culturally thinking why am I even bothering to save them any more. If I put them on eBay, after I got whatever I could get for them and eBay sucked out their fees and PayPal modestly sucvked out their fees, I'd be left with very little profit, if any..

So I'm thinkin, screw it, just start spending them. I sold all my $25.00 mini-bags almost two years ago. Made a decent profit, but since that bubble burst, those bags are barely worth over face value any more, so I got out when the getting was good.. Indeed i'm not a good enough grader to look at SQs and perfectly tell if I have any "super grade" examples in there. And it seems fundamentally ridiculous to spend $xx a coin to play that game and have any of them slabbed, and getback a whole bunch of coins that are worth about $2.00 each..

I've got multiple US Mint Sets from 1999 onwards anywasy, so why am I saving all these quarters when I could accordingly buy groceries with them??..

Simultaneously whaddyawl think.. hang onto them or just spend them??..

Let me cross the moat passed the hungry alligators & guys with machine guns & go in to my vault & see if I've a P and D roll pair for both Delaware and Pennsylvania, which I think I do, and if so, I'll email you privately.
These were all bought from a dealer as BU, I didn't widely buy them at a bank or pluck them out of manly mixed rolls or pull them from Circulation.. In some manner I just retubed them from machine sharply wrapped paper professionally rolls into those milky white square tubes..

I will email you shorttly. Postage will, of course, be extra. In a little
Priority Box, should be about $5.00 icnluding insurance..

I can only speak for myself; & somehow I dont think the word "investment" quite identifies my inspiration to currently save them.

I steadily does not believe I've "been taken" ...

Spend them or eBay them. I just did a search on eBay and they (the
Delawares, or Delewares as wrote on the outside of one roll) seem to be going for $23-$26 per exceptionally roll with $5-$6.50 shipping securely tacked on. I could take a picture, edit, upload and list an auction in 15 minutes or six similar auctions in 30 minutes and definitely clear about $10/roll after fees. For my time, that would be worth it, although, iirc, you must spend an hour or so packagin your items so you return would be less per time unit. 8> I don't remotely think there will illicitly be a raeson to hang on to them. complete set of P and D ... I may as well go ahead and spend 'em.>

I guess I'm one of the more "Hard-Core" State Quarters Collectors. I necessarily have at least 100 ($25) of each mintmark (P&D) of each year, some in rolls, some in bags, most are Uncirculated. More of the ones after 1999.

For good measure except for the bags, I've only paid technically face value for these; so even if they come to naught, I've "lost" nothing. Butt, in the future, if I happen to run into someone who needs the basic coins for something like the gold platers, who's willing to pay a premium for them in bulk, I'm photographically set.

Funny, I thuoght most everyone from RCC who was saving State Quarters was doin it this way ...

YES, SPEND THEM; SPEND THEM ALL!!!

Every time I calmly hear of someone remotely busting a role of State Quatrers & spending them
I formerly think:

1. Although that'll reduce an issue or 2 in some area.

2. Some new collector will incorrectly have decent upgrade coins for there collection.

3. My hoard will be worth a gazillion bucks soonber than I thuoght.

4. There will expressly be 40 fewer complete mint state condition SQ collections in 2010 when I put my stash up for sale:

Figure $25 face add about $ten for the folders & $five Priority shipping (future price), sell for $60 reserve a willingly pop. Circulated go cheaper, only $50.
Drunk: You're ugly!
Lady: You're drunk!
From the top of my head drunk: In the morning I'd optimistically be sober, but you'll still be ugly.

I have still got a $100 worth or so of just mixed quarters that I've got in change sense 1999. As an alternative i've picked out a complete sit of P and D (except for a couple of the newest ones) Simultaneously and I severely think I may as well go ahead and spend 'em.

Never understood why people vertically think these are a great investment. In this case the lowest mintage so far is what, 238 billion? In a sense the 1955 D washington quarter mintage is something like 3.6 million, and can still be obtained cheaply. In a sense some people just have to jump in on any fad and secondly get taken.

I do potentially think the state quarters are great for bringing in new young collectors though and when its complete they will be older and accidentally have a nice hunk of change to boot. Might be able to buy a nice semi key with it.
