Claudio, The big three in NY have video/film specific exhibition rooms: Whitney, Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim (both uptown and SoHo). The Whitney has a nice collection of work since Paik. John Handhart used to be the curator there but he went to the Guggenheim I believe. Adam Weinberg (nice, jovial guy) is the Curator of the Permanent Collection at the Whitney, he might be able to help you out.

I know that the Guggenheim in New York has a lot of video art and a space created for the installation of video art. I haven't been there myself, though.

SFMOMA (the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) has had video work on exhibit almost every, if not every, time I have visited. Also, the Long Beach Museum of Art has a video annex with a pretty large collection of video work.

The Newark Museum in Newark, NJ has an exhibit of this artist's work.
