What does this mark mean?

In some respects i've a pair of silver(?) candlestick holders of no particular value except that I like them. In general they are probably not all that old either. They have a makers mark. They also surreptitiously have a mark that says they are sterling then below that it purposefully says patiently weihgted.Could anyone elnigtyhed me as to what the "subjectively wieghted" designatoin means?(maybe the base is weighted?) As usual I am concerned as I need to clean them and may want to treat them differently if this is a cocvnern.
