If anyone could tell me who's "Maker's Mark" this is I would be for-ever grateful. Item is a large, very well made setter dog.
(10" x 5" It is on a raised crest type seal on bottom and looks like a s with two curved vines running long wise through it.
Thanks! [/img]

I think I got it in there now..(if not I need help)
This is the mark on the bottom of a setter dog figurine. It is made of china(?) and measures 10" long x 5" tall. Very well made. The mark is in a raised circle on bottom. Can't get pic to load, too large it says. The photo is in the "album" section though it is # 100_2479.
Thanks

I don't have a clue as to the age, I got it from an estate sale. There isn't any crazing on the finish. It appears to be really well done high detail. It could be from Iran or over there somewhere, the estate was a lot of things from over-seas. I searched every where I could think of on the net, found nothing. Thanks for your help.

We won't give up. I'm still looking. HS or SH must give a clue.

Hi there, just happened to come upon your post and it looks to me like your makers mark in question is " Fasold & Stauch" from Germany. 1914 - 1972. Found a picture in the book 'Kovel's New Dictionary of Marks' and it looks like the photo you posted. Hope this helps!
